NaPoWriMo Day 4

The Cruelest Month

June you are the fairest
Warmly fresh and green
Not sulky sultry August
Which can be scorched and mean
October is my birth month
Where I like to have some fun
And January’s full of hope
For the year that’s yet to come
April, May the months of colour
Are filled with lovely flowers
Shakespeare talked of windy days
And yes there may be showers
December there is time off work
And people feeling merry
September start of Autumn nights
And hedgerow still with berry
February shimmers white
With silvered morns of frost
July is when I festival
In music I am lost
March springs up with vigour
And buds are ripe to burst
Eleven months of joyful times
And one month that’s my worst
November you are cruel to me
Short days so dank and dark
A mist that permeates my soul
To dampen my life spark
