Ode To Roundabout

To go back just seems less than sensible
The road I’ve travelled does not beg return
To go on is the way most logical
To keep on forward almost without thought
To go right is a path quite radical
The hard way’s not one where I’ll my find joy
To go left is a route more sociable
The path less travelled I would find less fraught

This crossroads with its angles right is wrong
A roundabout is what I need, a spin
And from this swirling globe I’ll stumble off
In directions decided by the wind
