The Yellow Wood

I’ve made a choice in yellow wood that seems a little strange
To you who chose a different path but let’s each go our way.
It’s kind of you to worry let me tell you straight and true
That no man can be sure what fate will bring from day to day
Divest my things and wander off into the world because
I’m restless and my wander lust’s resistant to your cure
Not brave I feel but just the path that fewer people take
Let’s celebrate our differences they make me love you more
I may not ever find a place I can call home although
Tomorrow I may tumble into paradise and stay
But in my heart suspect that I would love it and move on
Another paradise to be sought further on the way.
One heart can carry other with it always so you will
See my world with me and I will stay in your world still
