The Level Playing Field

And what about the people who aren’t you
Those masses who do not have privilege
The poor the hungry those found dispossessed
The ones they’d rather were not thought about
We live within a meritocracy
So laughable this capital idea
You say that hard work’s all you need to win
The playing field at Eton isnt flat
So look around the globe and ask yourself
Why children die of hunger every day
Have avarice and greed become the way
To justify a system so unfair
The poor are always with us until we
Decide that there’s a better way to be
