Orlando

I wash the hate held in my heart with tears
My brother lies stone dead upon the floor
A man whose mental health got broke, dead too
But he made others victims of his crime
Time to wake America and say
Your gun laws cost the lives of young gay men
Not one or two but fifty and what’s more
Each of those was son and brother too
The pain it spirals exponentially
But now is time for reason not for hate
Change the law that causes so much death
The right to arms has caused too much heartache
Today I’m even prouder to be gay
And love not hate must be what saves the day
