The Rain Comes

And when the rain comes step outside and feel
Much worse can happen than get soaking wet
Your caution must be exercised with care
For daring now and then is circumspect
The contradictions throw us like a ball
Bemuse amuse confuse and make us real
For if you choose a place on standing shore
You’ll never know how sick at sea you’ll feel
So safety last is what I recommend
A risky frisky life to flirt within
And if you want to know the answer’s yes
I advocate indulging in some sin
Get wet get dry get high on life today
But live because you’re dying anyway
