Place

The place that I have missed is in your arms
It’s you that puts the smile into my eyes
But missing is a feeling I desire
The failing of my love some kind of prize
I’d rather lack than actually have love
I wonder what that says about my heart
Perhaps I am afraid of being loved
Or losing love might make me fall apart
And if you said you loved me would I run
No man has ever said those words to me
For I create a never kind of love
Pretend that I am happy being free
Instead of lacking love I’ll face the fear
So place your arms around me I am here
