Asunder

And in the new was lost the old we knew
Bizarre the hands that fate once held so fair
The was is not and now will future be
For I was here but you were always there
And knowing all the pieces didn’t fit
The puzzle safely back inside the box
Our challenge is to tidy up the mess
The open hearts protected now by locks
To say there’s nothing left a silence rings
The finger that no longer sports the gold
Asunder we have no eternal bond
I wonder now what will we have to hold
Forsaking you for others life is now
The shadow of our broken sacred vow
