Rock

Unexpected green upon the red
Centre of the earth was flower sweet
Vivid blooms on rock that honour dead
Newly tender growth where chances meet
Sun gives life and unaware exerts
Fiery force to parch and dry the sweet
Golden kiss of love too easy hurts
Tender stems are first to wilt in heat
Blossom young please shelter from the noon
Sup the morning dew and then retire
Fear of losing what was born too soon
Sacrificed in hot eternal fire
Yellow circle life in death no end
Fowers fade but chance will bloom again
