Please sit with me a while beneath the tree
Survivor of a life that’s worn you out
The time so precious that you give to me
No wonder that your mind is full of doubt
A breath will fill our bodies full of air
The nothing in the soul can feel so right
Release it and let go of every care
Allow your eyes to close surrender sight
Now listen to the birds within the trees
And is that jasmine wafting in the air
Delightful on your face the shady breeze
So often we don’t notice what is there
The breath we share reminds us we’re alive
To live is so much more than to survive
