Overload

A hundred miles an hour or maybe more
Your information super highway brain
The anecdotes and stories from before
So much that only snippets I retain
Yet every tale is full of happy thought
And every friend’s remembrance warmly fond
At tables you have taken less than brought
An honest man who’s word would be his bond
Your beauty hides within a wall of sound
Cacophony can’t fill my heart with doubt
A smile from you can turn me upside down
My love you make me feel my inside’s out
And you and I will rocket down the road
A love that’s fuelled by sensual overload
