Nuclear

And how would you define a family
The ties are much more complex than your blood
The people who have shaped and moulded me
Primordial like sculpture cast from mud
A parent so much more than one who sires
The task not just a twenty minute thrust
A model that a future role inspires
So heady when the love’s infused with trust
My brother sister standing at my side
The circumstance of life has brought us close
In random nights like atoms we collide
A fusion caused by nuclear overdose
My family a mix of stray and waif
We cling and dream of one day feeling safe
