Hand in mine

Remember rain when everything was fine
Perfection of the day in greyish hue
And when I felt the warmth of hand in mine
I knew that I would wrap my heart in you
And in the rain I felt two worlds collide
Unbalanced by the kindness in your face
So pure that life was tilted to the side
Unbidden you had walked into my space
Remember me as I remember you
A man who chased the clouds out of my day
The happy times together precious few
Our moments a diversion from the way
In other place I sit now in the rain
Imagine warmth of hand in mine again
