Eudaimonia

So long ago there lived an ancient Greek
And he became a scholar truly wise
His mind and thoughts were bold and never weak
On many topics he philosophised
And Aristotle’s relevant to you
This eudaimonic concept’s really great
That happiness is something that we do
A lifelong goal and not a passing state
And when we think of Maslow and his needs
The hierarchy that he gave to us
I think that it’s quite clear would you agree
That Maslow is on Aristotle’s bus
So happiness alternatively viewed
That virtue and not pleasure be pursued
