The Young

With so much wonder in the eyes I see
A joyous exploration as they find
But we must teach the young responsibly
So flexible and innocent the mind
For one day they will learn they can cause pain
And eyes will cloud confusion will ensue
And with such difficulty how to explain
That good and bad are both a part of you
But we control our destiny and fate
So if you get the explanation right
A child will learn that love can conquer hate
And darkness cannot prosper in the light
So teach with love and show the young respect
For what you give a child is what you’ll get
