Unravelled

It transpired
When I enquired
Eternal fired
Yet love expired
I am left
My warp not weft
Not quite bereft
But we are cleft
He was right
No troth to plight
That torrid night
We saw the light
Judge has gavelled
We unravelled
Path untravelled
Rid me of
That hand in glove
From push came shove
I’m out of love
