Samaritan

Never chosen
Always last
Uninvited
Never asked
Made me bitter
You’re so sweet
Got the whole world
At your feet
Never smiling
Wear a frown
You ascend as
I fall down
Wish that I was
Light and gay
Bruised and battered
Born this way
See you staring
Clouded eyes
Hand of friendship
Help me rise
Different people
Human kind
Help your neighbour
Love is blind
I was chosen
Only one
Turned my face to
See the sun
